Utilizing physical therapy to treat each individual as a whole, and help bring healthiness, happiness, and strength to the world, one person at a time.
Creekside Physical Therapy was started in 1985 by BJ Hengelmann. This is two years after Physical Therapy Orthopedic Specialists, Inc (PTOSI) was started by Mark Bookhout and Don Darling. Over the next 35+ years, both practices remained independent, locally owned, and focused heavily on clinical excellence and developing highly skilled physical therapists. BJ's practice focused primarily on working with individuals with jaw, head, and neck pain, while PTOSI focused on orthopedic manual therapy to the entire body.
Galen Wetzell began working at PTOSI in 2013, and spent the next 5 years learning and developing his clinical skills under the mentorship of Mark Bookhout, an internationally renowned physical therapist and educator.
In 2021, 36 years after it began, Galen purchased Creekside Physical Therapy from BJ. He is committed to continuing the legacy of specialized care for persons with TMJ pain, while also expanding the practice to include the same whole-person approach to orthopedic care that PTOSI was known for.
If you are a former patient of Creekside or PTOSI, rest assured that the same high level of quality will continue to be delivered for years to come. If you are new to the practice, we invite you to experience the difference that a combined 70 years of private physical therapy practice can deliver. Here's to the next 35 years.
